The objective of the project is the rehabilitation and endowment of the children’s garden with extended hours no. 2. The kindergarten building consists of 3 different bodies: The main body (C1) – it has 3 group rooms on the ground floor and 4 group rooms upstairs, the dining room, and other specific accompanying spaces. — Secondary body (C2) – includes functions that serve the main program (kitchen with storage spaces – for children’s food, laundry/imperage with accompanying spaces, changing rooms and toilets for kitchen staff). — Storeroom (C3)- with storage operation. It is intended to strengthen and rehabilitate the main body C1, demolition of body C2 and build a new body with a useful area of 427,02 sqm. The new building built in place of C2 is intended to be used as a service area, for the access of staff and teachers, for the supply of the food block, hosting functions such as: kitchen with storage, laundry/limbing with storage, administrative part with accounting office and director, methodical cabinet with media space for frames, an activity room for children, changing rooms and bathrooms. It is also intended to demolish the storehouse in the inner courtyard of the kindergarten so that the land won in the yard is arranged and used for recreational purposes. In the direction of this objective Simleu Silvaniei city resorted to the following actions: in 2014 the Local Sustainable Development Strategy of Simleu Silvaniei for 2014-2020 and the Local Action Plan for the Sustainable Development of Simpleul Silvaniei for 2014-2020 were approved by HCL 60/28.08.2014. At the Chapter of the Action Strategies Directorate, within the Strategic Directorate 2 "Development of local infrastructure", Operational Objective 2.1 – Ensuring access to the infrastructure and quality education services for all inhabitants, Sub-objective 2.1.1 Creation/rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of the educational infrastructure and the increase of the Educational Act, it is mentioned as projects "Rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of educational units In this context the rehabilitation and endowment of the Children’s Garden no. 2 is part of the proposed action plan, contributing to increasing the quality of the educational act. The project is also in line with the specific objective of Axis 10.1 – Increasing participation in early childhood and compulsory education, especially for children at high risk of early leaving. This will ensure increased access, quality and attractiveness of education, helping to increase participation in different levels of education, reducing early school leaving and early school leaving, increasing compulsory education attainment and increasing the transition rate to higher levels of education.
