The objective of the project is the rehabilitation and endowment of the building of the Ioan Ossian Technological High School, part of the Ioan Ossian school campus, which includes besides this building and the building of the high school (where the theoretical courses are held), another home, the laboratory building, the canteen, the sports hall and the annexes necessary to carry out the activity (sera, thermal power station, growing, etc.) In the direction of this objective Simleu Silvaniei city has resorted to the following actions: in 2014 the Local Sustainable Development Strategy of Simleu Silvaniei for 2014-2020 and the Local Action Plan for the Sustainable Development of Simpleul Silvaniei for 2014-2020 were approved by HCL 60/28.08.2014. At the Chapter of the Action Strategies Directorate, within the Strategic Directorate 2 “Development of local infrastructure”, Operational Objective 2.1 – Ensuring access to the infrastructure and quality education services for all inhabitants, Sub-objective 2.1.1 Creation/rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of educational infrastructure and the increase of educational act, it is mentioned as projects “Rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of educational units in this context rehabilitation/rehabilitation/extension of the educational infrastructure building and increasing educational act, it is mentioned as projects”Rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of educational units/extension of education units in this context, in the context of rehabilitation and endowment of the building of Ioan Ossian High School is within the proposed action plan, contributing to the increase of the quality of the educational act and the attractiveness of the locality, being that the students of Ioan Ossian High School are currently required, as they contribute to increasing the quality of the educational act and the attractiveness of the locality, being that the students of Ioan Ossian fall within the framework of the proposed action plan, contributing to the increase in the quality of the educational act and of the attractiveness of the locality, being that the students of Ioan Ossian are in the position of increasing the quality of the educational act and the attractiveness of the locality, as the students have the chance to choose from Ioan Ossian High School. We mention that the fields of professional training authorised within Ioan Ossian Technological High School (natural resources and environmental protection – agriculture, economic services (technician in economic activities) – in Hungarian, Mechanics – auto mechanics, Public Food and Tourism – Public Food are areas of interest lately, especially due to the growing demand for qualified technicians in the agricultural fields, Auto and services, (areas identified as priorities within the National Competitiveness Strategy) The project is also cooncordant and with the general objective of 10.2 “Increasing the degree of participation in vocational and technical education and lifelong learning”, contributing to the achievement of the conditions for a quality professional training and relevant to the needs of the labour market, adapted to the specific requirements of economic sectors. Ensuring decent accommodation will allow attracting an increasing number of students from other localities to technical and professional education (contributing to increasing the participation rate of students in vocational and technical education), as well as reducing school drop-outs.
