Public lighting is one of the quality criteria of modern civilisation. It is designed to ensure both the safe orientation and circulation of pedestrians and vehicles at night, as well as the creation of an appropriate environment in the hours without natural light. The public lighting must meet the conditions stipulated by the bright, physiological, traffic safety, and architectural aesthetics, in the conditions of rational use of electricity. aligning with the European, national, regional and local strategies, the project aims to increase energy efficiency in SIP by means of lamp replacement measures, the introduction of the telemanagement system, the extension, the replacement of the public lighting system networks in the municipality of Carei, the use of renewable energy sources. The estimated annual electricity consumption will decrease from 885.72 MWh to 511,35 MWh, while the reduction of Co2 from 54.25 to 31.32, meaning in both cases a 42 % reduction in the quality of life, is reflected by providing visual comfort, safety of traffic participants, citizens in general by changing the current lamps with energy efficient lapti, but also by achieving 13 km of the new network.
