Creating Multifunctional Center Carei

General objective: Improving the quality of life in Carei Municipality by 20 % by developing cultural and leisure services and improving public safety by 2023. In addition to the need to solve socio-economic problems, sustainable development and the increase of living standards in small and medium-sized cities also depend on improving the cultural and recreational offer, offering quality leisure opportunities and improving the safety aspects of the population in the public space. The project aims to improve the quality of life of the population of Carei municipality by addressing two complementary solutions to problems identified by the Local Strategies. One of the problems faced by small and medium-sized cities in Romania and is also specific to Carei Municipality is that of the migration of young people to larger urban centers or outside the country, leaving behind an aging population. The migratory spore is negative for the city of Carei. Moreover, at the level of the municipality there are marginalised areas, vulnerable groups and at risk of exclusion. The project aims at a complementary approach to the problems identified as priorities within the Local and National Strategies, by improving the cultural-educational services in the municipality of Carei, on the one hand, but also increasing the degree of security of citizens and reducing the level of crime within the city. A safer city gives its population confidence. Young people will be able to attend quietly the infrastructure created and parents will appreciate safety, unrestricted access and the facilities created will be addressed to an increased number of beneficiaries. The achievement of the objectives will be verified through evaluation questionnaires, interviews, statistics, etc. These two approaches, through the proposed measures will contribute to the physical, social and economic revitalisation of the city and the improvement of the quality of life in the Municipality of Carei and implicitly to the achievement of the specific objective 13.1 of the investment priority 9b.
