Modernisation of the intercounty road DJ 104A, DJ105C and DJ105P – consisting of DJ104A km 0+ 000-45+ 000, DJ 105C km 6+ 300-3+ 800, DJ 105P 0+ 000+ 3+ 800

Increasing the accessibility of rural and urban areas in Brasov county located close to the TEN-T network by upgrading the inter-county road DJ 104A, DJ105C and DJ105P consisting of DJ 104A km 0+ 000-45+ 000, DJ 105C km 6+ 300-3+ 800, DJ 105P 0+ 000-3+ 800. The modernisation of the road leads to the improvement of the relevant parameters – the increase of speed, road safety, load-bearing, etc., of the county road network that ensures connectivity, direct or indirect with the TEN-T network. The achievement of this objective leads to ensuring a sustainable development of Brasov county and achieving the objectives proposed in the Brasov County Sustainable Development Strategy 2013-2020-2030. The project contributes to the objectives of the investment priority by modernising 49.039 km of county road as a development route and as a viable bypass of the national road DN1 Sibiu – Brasov – Bucharest with direct links to: • Brasov: DJ 104 A – Sinca – DN 73A and Zarnesti – Brasov; • Bucharest: DJ 104A – Sinca – DN 73A Zarnesti – Râsnov and DN 73 Râsnov – Predeal – Sinaia – Bucharest; • Pitesti: DJ 104A- Sinca – DN 73A Zarnesti and DN 73 Râsnov – Bran – Rucar – Campulung Muscel – Pitesti; • Brasov: DJ 104A Victoria – DN 7C – DN 1 Sibiu. decongesting traffic in the DN1 Sibiu – Brasov area, facilitating the connection with neighbouring counties. The development of this transport network will contribute significantly to developing and increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the area, of labour mobility to Victoria City, Fagaras Municipality, Brasov Municipality and Sibiu, the main industrial economic poles existing in the area and will facilitate access to health and education providers.
