Integrated development of Szekely Tamadt Fortress in Odorheiu Secuiesc City through Ob: 1 Achieving the recreational cultural center, Ob 2 Rehabilitation of the related stage infrastructure

The general objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of the population in Odorheiu Secuiesc, by improving cultural and recreational services, through the Integrated Development of Székely Támadt Fortress from Odorheiu Secuiesc Municipality through Ob. 1 realisation of the recreational cultural center and Ob.2 rehabilitation of the related street infrastructure. The general objective of the proposed project is in line with the general objective of the 2014-2020 ROP, namely to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of local or regional communities through the development of the business environment, infrastructure conditions and services, which ensure the sustainable development of the regions, capable of managing resources efficiently, exploiting their potential for innovation and assimilation of technological progress. The general objective of the project is within the specific objective 13.1 – Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania, namely the realisation of the recreational cultural center in Székely Támadt Fortress in Odorheiu Secuiesc Municipality is supported activity component A. Improvement of social, educational, cultural and recreational services, point 6 Construction/extension/completion/upgrading/equipment of buildings with cultural and/or recreational functions: youth centres, cultural centres, educational centres, recreation centres, libraries, museums, theatres, including by changing the initial use of buildings. Subject 1 of the project: The recreational cultural centre will mainly serve the population of Odorheiu Secuiesc, as well as the rural population of the Odorhei area, including vulnerable groups in the locality and the area. The building is a historical monument, currently damaged and unused, which after the implementation of the project will be used as a recreational cultural center. Project object 2: “Rehabilitation of the related street infrastructure”, is eligible activity, falls under eligible activity B- Improvement of urban public spaces, point 1. Construction/extension/rehabilitation of public roads within the administrative boundaries of the municipality ATU.Each part of the project Objective 1: “Achieving the recreational cultural centre” and Objective 2: “Rehabilitation of related street infrastructure” falls under investment priority 9b, providing support for the physical, economic and social revitalisation of disadvantaged communities in urban regions, namely the achievement of specific objective 13.1-Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania. The revitalisation of the historical center of Odorheiu Secuiesc through the proposed investment aims to improve the quality of life of the population, by ensuring balanced development and increasing the attention of the urban center.
