Rehabilitation of the county road “Interjud Covasna – Harghita”, section Covasna DJ131 km 22+ 830-38+ 621

The general objective of the project is to increase the accessibility of Baraolt and Brăduț and Vârghiș communes in Covasna County, located in the vicinity of the TEN-T network and to improve the quality of life of the population in the localities targeted by the project and the surrounding ones, by upgrading the section of Covasna county road DJ131, km 22+ 830-38+ 564. The section of Covasna County of the DJ131 county road starts at the border with Harghita County and ends at the border with Brasov County, passing through Vârghiş, Tălișoara, Baraolt, Căpeni, Micloșoara, Aita Mare. Connectivity to the TEN-T network will be indirectly ensured as follows: — DJ131, section targeted by the Feliceni project (HR): DJ 137 Odorheiu Secuiesc (HR): DN 13A Bălăușeri: E60, TEN-T network; Therefore, through roads DN 13A is indirectly ensured connectivity to the parts of Targu Mures – Iasi and Sighisoara – Brasov of the TEN-T network. The present project addresses the route in Covasna County and the one in Harghita County is the subject of the project developed by the ATU Harghita County in accordance with the provisions of the cooperation agreement signed by the two counties on 5 July 2017.
