The general objective of the project is to increase the quality of the educational infrastructure for professional and technical education in Tîrgu-Mureș Municipality by carrying out rehabilitation, modernisation and equipping of the spaces necessary for carrying out the educational activity within the Technological High School “Gheorghe Şncai”. Thus, the present project aims to improve the quality of the technical and professional educational process, aiming to achieve an adequate infrastructure/corresponding to the technical and professional educational cycles, thus increasing the level of development of future workforce capacities. Following the investment, of the total 3 buildings related to the education unit, the building body with school destination, respectively the one with a sports hall destination will be rehabilitated, the building body related to the workshops will be rehabilitated, modernised and equipped with equipment specific to professional and technical education, and the sports field, including the alleys will be rehabilitated and surrounded, all in order to achieve the conditions for a quality education and the acquisition of technical skills. All building bodies will be equipped with new thermal and electrical installations. The project is relevant to specific objective 4.5 “Enhancing the quality of educational infrastructure relevant to the labour market” of the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, priority axis 4: “Supporting sustainable urban development”, Investment Priority 4.4 “Investing in education, training, including vocational training for acquiring skills and lifelong learning through the development of education and training infrastructures”, as it contributes to increasing the quality of the educational infrastructure relevant to the labor market, through rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of a professional and technical education unit. These activities will develop the infrastructure necessary for the development of a quality educational act that will increase the efficiency of the educational act, in the case of the use of human and material resources, will increase the correspondence between the educational offer and the requirements on the labour market, respectively the social context, and will ensure equal opportunities in access and use of educational resources.
