The general objective of the project is to improve public transport in Ploiesti by purchasing tram rolling stock on the selected public transport route, through an integrated approach based on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUD). This objective involves reducing carbon emissions and increasing the attractiveness of public transport by providing superior conditions (modern vehicles equipped with traction engines and gearboxes equipped with noise and vibration reduction systems, with ITS facilities – intelligent technical systems), i.e. by offering transport alternatives, discouraging travel by car and increasing the number of people who will use public transport.
