The objective of the project is the environmental upgrading and performance in common use of Metropolitan Park/former Pavlos Melas Camp, with an area of approximately 332,104 sq.m., with the creation of a space of superlocal green space for the development of leisure, leisure, culture, social contacts and education activities. The implementation of the project will help to exploit the potential of an urban area in order to be an exemplary model of sustainable development. The main categories of work included in the project relate to: A) basic infrastructure for irrigation, water supply, sewerage, electric lighting, b) environmental upgrading works (land improvement, cutting of dry and dangerous trees, maintenance – cleaning of existing greenery and new plantings), c) demolition of buildings, d) demarcation of the site and definition of access, entrances-outputs and parking spaces, e) temporary security measures of conservation buildings, f) layout of the main routes, d) the definition of basic routes, etc.
