In the context of limiting the impact of climate change, the European Union has set targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. That is why the European Strategy – White Paper 2011 on transport has been published. By 2050, the main objectives of this strategy are the elimination of conventional cars in cities and a 60 % reduction in CO2 emissions. With this project, the Region of Central Macedonia intends to procure 11 electric cars, both two-seater for transportation within the city and five-seat for transportation outside the city, 13 diesel cars for anti-pollution technology, and 3 power stations.
