The project concerns the construction of a new reservoir at the same altitude (+ 640,00) and close to the existing Tank Above Athos with a capacity of 500 m³, as well as a new underground pipeline from a third generation of 1 m long for the transport of water from the existing water-filled spring “Drakospilia” to the settlement of Zagora. The project aims to cover in particular the water needs of the settlements of Agios Georgios, Metamorphosis Sotiras, Ascension and part of Agios Kyriaki of Zagora, through the increase of the water storage area and the replacement of the existing old pipeline which presents significant problems with quantitative losses of the water transported.
