According to the National Plan for the Adjustment to Climate Change (ESPKA) the overall estimates of the economic damage caused by climate change, by economic activity that essentially reflect the level of vulnerability by sector of each region also concern the Region of Thessaly. In particular, based on the current situation and forecasts for the upcoming climate change, the Region of Thessaly presents a high vulnerability in the areas of Water Supply, Agriculture, Fisheries, Forests and Health, without overlooking the relatively high rates in transport and tourism sectors. The Regional Plan for Adjustment to Climate Change in Thessaly is called upon to prioritise on the basis of the regional vulnerability analysis and the quantification of the expected climate risk and actions, as well as the implementation of these actions. For each sector selected and the actions/measures selected, it will also evaluate any available data (e.g. existing management plans, monitoring and implementation programmes, etc.). It will further define the implementing bodies, financial instruments, etc.
