The Act “Restoration and promotion of the complex of Achilles in Corfu” aims to exploit and improve the attractiveness of the complex of Achilles as a tourist destination as well as the wider region. At the same time, the Act is expected to contribute to the enrichment of the offered tourism product as well as to the development of the local economy and especially small-business. The Act is divided into two (2) stages of implementation. Phase A, which was implemented during the Programmatic Period 2007-2013, included a study and restoration work of the Achilles concierge, a study of the restoration of the Group, conservation work as well as a Museological – Museum study for the exhibition at the Palace. Phase II, which will be implemented during the Programmatic Period 2014-2020, includes restoration works of the Palace of the Group, works in the courtyard, restoration works in the Stratona building, the concierge building and the Baron’s building, according to the study prepared and the permits issued during the A Phase of the Act, maintenance of fixed and mobile exhibits, mural and mortar building, production of multi-purpose applications and production of the construction material.
