The purpose of the project proposal is to shape the old Primary School into a centre for the promotion of the ancient and modern heritage and history of the island. The layout concerns a neoclassical building with an almost square plan and a courtyard located at the back with a parallel wide access corridor and entrance gate to the front of the road.The operation of the centre will be interactive, with the main concern being the multifaceted promotion of the historical heritage of the place. It will cover the educational approach for older ages and entertainment for the younger. On the perimetric walls there will be displayed material with basic information on the history and findings as well as on the available objects of all historical periods. The correlation of the exhibits with the topography of the island will be made from the floor of the area where a relief model of Meganisios will be constructed with all the points of cultural interest identified. In the courtyard there will be a small stand of a hundred spectators under which the auxiliary spaces of the building are placed. It facilitates access for people with disabilities by forming a smooth slope on the side corridor and placing a special rider at the back entrance of the school.
