The project concerns the operation of the Existing Urban Building of Athens: Open Homeless Day Center (AKIA) to meet urgent housing and living needs of the homeless. It is part of the National Strategy for Social Integration to ensure access to suitable housing. The “Open Homeless Day Centers” are open direct access structures to address the basic needs of homeless people. They provide services of psychosocial support, primary health care, personal care and hygiene, as well as interconnection with housing, feeding, psychological support, legal assistance, counseling, health, welfare, social and occupational reintegration.
