The National Portal for the Coding and Reform of Greek Legislation is expected to be the electronic hub of encoded legislation, which will be organised according to updated standards. It will present up-to-date and thematically classified Greek legislation and will make it available to the general public free of charge. At the same time, the National Portal will collect all information relating to the standards and procedures for administrative codification and reform of legislation in Greece, with the aim of supporting public policies to restore the internal coherence of law, improving the quality of legislative and regulatory provisions and their production procedures and systematic integration into sets of rules of law and, on the other hand, making them available to the general public.In particular, through the National Encoded Portal, citizens, businesses and the public will be directly accessible to the public. Good lawmaking structures will acquire support tools for their operation.The project fills the gap that is presented today in easy and free access to existing encodings, which are either available in non-processable format and scattered throughout the public sector, or are not available to the public at all.
