The project concerns the extension of the functionality of the National Blood Donor Registry funded by the OP “Digital Convergence 2007-2013”, in order to support at the blood donor level the functionality of the blood donor system (which will be submitted in the context of the call concerning “E-Government Actions”), but also to be enriched by providing new services at the level of the blood donor register. Also, the continued production and distribution of Volunteer Blood Donors to Volunteer blood donors for the duration of the project will be ensured. Emphasis will be placed on the interoperability of the new proposed services with existing services, as well as with established blood analysts (where such a possibility exists). Also, the exchange of targeted information between blood donation services, blood centres and the National Blood Donation Centre (ECA) will be promoted, as well as between hospitals and blood donation services regarding the management of transfusion patients, for the benefit of both the efficiency of public bodies and the interactions of blood donors and patients. Finally, single contact services for citizens/patients will be developed, with emphasis on multitransfused patients in blood donation services both remotely and within the services.The project is implemented with start date 26/4/2016, ending on 30/6/2023 and a budget of EUR 1.986.214.75.
