The project concerns the implementation of energy savings and energy generation actions from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in the open Municipal Swimming Pool of the Municipal Community of Aigio, which in the present situation is energy-intensive and energy inefficient. The swimming pool includes a swimming pool area of 1.050.63 sq.m. and an auxiliary building of 566.30 m².Through a multi-faceted energy upgrading intervention and the installation of RES systems, primary energy savings and reductions in carbon dioxide emissions are sought. The proposed interventions in the framework of the project include:- The supply and installation of a thermal insulation cover of the pool.- The energy upgrade of the swimming pool heating system.- Energy upgrade of the hot water system (ZNX).- The installation of photovoltaic collectors system for the production of RES, with connection to the grid for netting of electricity.
