The historic city of Nafpaktos, with a strong tourist interest due to its central location, has drawn up an Integrated Development Plan, which includes a series of interventions aimed at utilising its cultural resources.In this context, this project provides for the building and functional upgrading and modernisation of the building of the former hotel unit “XENIA”, in order to operate in support of the tourist product of the region through the preservation of its architectural value and its cultural exploitation as a multi-space. The project specifically provides for the creation of a virtual museum for the Battle of Nafpaktos, an exhibition space – a hall of events and a small centre for hosting high visitors (e.g. ambassadors, representatives of foreign states or cities abroad, intellectuals dealing mainly with historical and cultural issues of Nafpaktos).The results of the project concern both the promotion of the Municipality as a cultural – tourist destination, as well as benefits for the citizens. In particular, the multiple benefits of the project concern: The promotion of the historical, cultural and cultural wealth of the Municipality and the strengthening of its exploitation.
