The project concerns an integrated intervention aimed at facilitating citizens’ access to public services, promoting e-government and transparency of Public Administration and interoperability of the electronic services and information systems of the Region of Central Macedonia (ICM), promoting the optimisation and digitisation of procedures. Through the optimisation and digitisation this will result in a benefit for both the citizen-entrepreneur and the human resources of the services of the CCI. The implementation of the project will be based on the approach of the integrated coverage of the needs of both regional executives and citizens. The project includes the development of integrated digital services, which will be fully available to the general public, without any restrictions on the availability, promotion and retrieval of material, incorporating the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Also, a significant impact is the familiarisation of citizens with the multifaceted effects of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), combined with the fight against the digital divide and the effective protection of citizens’ ability to access new technologies. In particular, through the implementation of the project: 1. A single electronic access point for digital material shall be created for the public. 2. All citizens are given access without any discrimination in order to get in touch with administrative and cultural material. 3. People with disabilities, people in remote areas and special population groups (inmates, people with mental disorders, people in rehabilitation or rehabilitation programs, sensitive population groups, etc.) are facilitated, who have the ability to communicate and work through the Internet, to see and study the rich content of the archives.
