Within the framework of the project, a Social Grocery will operate for the next three years, aimed at people in poverty or threatened with poverty, as well as beneficiaries/applicants of international protection. The operation of the grocery store is expected to initially serve more than 100 households per month, with the prospect of an increase (over 300 households) until the completion of the project, which translates to approximately six hundred and eighty (680) people. The aim of the Social Grocery is to collect/supply and dispose of food and grocery items packaged, personal hygiene items, frozen products, clothing and footwear, household equipment, toys, entertainment items such as books, cd, dvd etc. to meet immediate living needs and learning needs and culture of its benefits.The Social Grocery by applying similar donation activities such as books, cd, dvd etc. The products will be made available to the beneficiaries in a way that ensures their equality and dignity. It will operate on fixed hours from Monday to Friday, and its operating hours will follow that of the supervised Social Service.It will be staffed with administrative and ancillary staff and will be supervised by the Social Service of the Municipality.
