This Technical Assistance Act will implement external partners’ services with similar experience and know-how to support the services of the Municipality of Piraeus in the process of updating the Local Waste Management Plan in accordance with the new requirements of the legislation.

Therefore it is demonstrated that a Local Solid Waste Management Plan must respond to modern reality, being an important tool for achieving the strategies and means of long-term objectives of the Municipality of Piraeus.

The object of the Act is:

A.The update of the Local Waste Management Plan of the Municipality of Piraeus according to the new requirements of legislation,

B. The design of the separate biowaste collection network.

C.The application of the principles of the circular economy to waste management at the level of the Municipality of Piraeus.,

D.The implementation of the updated Local Waste Management Plan
