The restoration of the historic monument of a lighthouse, at Kochchi of the Municipality of Salamis, contributes to the restoration, protection, promotion and preservation of our cultural heritage and the environment as it is a recognised monument by the Ministry of Culture and Culture and constitutes an integral part and reference point of the natural landscape of the area. It also contributes to securing navigation, as it is part of the Greek Pharolic Network. Based on the traffic data in lighthouses that have already been restored, it appears that visits to lighthouses are an attractive destination for clubs, students and citizens, due to their historical and architectural significance. After all, on the World Lighthouse Day in 2016, the traffic to thirty lighthouses was 12,200. Upon completion of the project, the Lighthouse which will be an important monument for both the historic island of Salamis and the Region of Attica will become exploitable and visited.
