Improvement/upgrading of the Western Inland Regional Road of Thessaloniki from the end of k16 (Lahan Market) to K5 (Papageorgiou Hospital)

The project relates to the second phase of the segmented project to improve/upgrade the existing Western Internal Regional (desper) Thessaloniki Road to a length of about 6 km. with the construction of a six-track cross section road (3 lanes per direction without Emergency Lane) and central islet. It also includes the construction of 5 off-road nodes (R/K), with the aim of ensuring the continuous flow of vehicles, improving road safety and increasing road capacity. In more detail, these are: 1. Reg. 3 September: Construction of 2 Up Crossings on Vembo Streets and September 3rd and upgrading of the connecting branches. 2. Maeander: Subterraneanisation of the desperation, construction of the connecting branches of the artery and forming a roundabout above the despot. 3. A/M Makrygiannis: Undergrounding, construction of the connecting branches of the artery, forming 2 circular level nodes and their connecting road. 4. Mr Lagadas and Stavroupolis: Construction of a bridge of 2 independent branches over Oreokastro and Lagada. 5. A/C 14 at the intersection of the miss with the 25th of March. Subterraneanisation of the desperation, construction of the connecting branches of the artery and forming a roundabout above the despot. The project also includes the replacement of the security posts, the central islet and the asphalt along the road, the construction of a building of Traffic Control, the construction of an electromechanical plant building, as well as interventions in the adjacent and local network. The overall intervention also includes the necessary studies/experts and the costs of Public Benefit Organisations (OKOs), land acquisition and archaeology.
