The project includes digital promotions of the archaeological site of Aptera using cutting-edge technologies. Through the integrated and targeted promotion of the archaeological site on the Internet as well as the significant upgrading of services to its visitors, the project is aimed at a large number of different categories of users (local society, general public from all over the world, researchers, educational community, disabled people) and aims to promote and exploit the rich historical and cultural reserve of Crete. In this way the project will work not only for the benefit of the archaeological site itself, which will increase and improve its services, but also for the benefit of the local community of Crete (by providing it with the opportunity for deeper and more experiential acquaintance with its historical and cultural heritage), the cultural and tourism operators of Crete (through the attraction of internal and external tourism), the natural and internet visitors of the archaeological site, but also from Greece and abroad.
