The project involves upgrading and modernisation interventions to promote the scientific cultural environmental park of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In particular, integrated interventions for the improvement of the urban microclimate will be implemented by creating infrastructure for the development of cultural, sports and environmental activities, configurations of outdoor events and recreation areas, as well as the development of a network of paths and cycling routes within the park.The intervention area of a total area of approximately 50 acres is located in the heart of the University’s University Campus, in contact with the central functions of the University, such as the Building Administration, the Central Park and the Cultural Center. Nature is transformed into the single base that runs through the whole and accepts the different functions and stories of people inside and outside the academic community, during the day and seasons of the year.
