Development of an ecosystem and the development of an electronic service to promote the sharing of green means of transport in areas of high tourist interest [XENAKIS Cars ANNOUNCEMENT COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL ET] [NIC1

In the framework of the Diagoras project, an ecosystem will be formed, including transport service providers, tourist service providers, as well as the research and development sector. Through this ecosystem, transport services will be integrated, in order to facilitate travel by tourists and will form appropriate business models to promote the sharing of green means of transport.Through the collection and analysis of data from multiple sources (a. operation of vehicle sharing systems, b. vehicle charging stations, c. Bluetooth sensors, d. telematic fleet of taxi vehicles, e. social networking, in the travel platforms), an integrated network of services will be developed by an integrated service. The Diagoras app will be a One stop shop for tourism services, suggesting to the user: A) organisation of visits to tourist sites, b) alternative ways of access & combination use of means of transport. The application will also support the process of receiving vehicles & will attempt to group the movers in order to reap all the benefits of the sharing economy. A comparative advantage of the application is the use of a multitude of data for specialised travel proposals according to the requirements of each tourist, by creating automatic setting up personalised routes including sightseeing & to maximise benefits with green travel solutions. The Diagoras project is also expected to play a key role in the transition from private to public use, as well as from the use of polluting vehicles to green transport. In order to achieve these transitions, initially to Rhodes and then to other tourist areas, synergies will be sought with tourist providers, local businesses and especially hotels, so that the use of integrated travel services by tourists will be easily accessible and accessible.
