The project concerns the upgrading and operation of a Guest House for the hosting of women – victims of violence in all forms of and/or multiple discrimination (migrant women, refugees, single-parents, disabled, unemployed, etc.) and their children, in building infrastructure of the National Centre for Social Solidarity (EKKA) with a capacity of 20 beds in the prefecture of Thessaloniki, with the following services: Counseling and psychosocial support, Language Learning, Empowering teaching, Creative employment of children, Support in the mother’s role, Advisory to promote employment, Safeguarding to ensure protection in shelter conditions, Providing continuous care to ensure a climate of safety and functionality. For the operation of the Hostel, EKKA cooperates with the General Secretariat for Gender Equality (GGI) and the Centre for Equality Research. The aim of the project is to prevent and combat all forms of violence and/or discrimination against women.
