The project will cover the needs of medical equipment, hotel equipment, electronic equipment, morgue equipment and other equipment of the two newly built wings at the “VENISELIO-PANEIO” G.N. in Heraklion in the Region of Crete. It concerns the supply and installation of the above equipment that will cover the needs of the following services and departments: a morgue, the first pathological department, the second pathological department, the oncology department and the haematological department.The equipment meets the requirements of European standards. It is also expected that it will replace obsolete equipment or cover a need for new equipment aimed at improving the quality of health services (nursing and medical services) to the residents of the Region of Crete and the South Aegean. It will also contribute to the upgrading of daily medical practice and the increase of cases under management. Finally, due to the need for urgent reinforcement of health services in order to mitigate the effects of the Kornovirus epidemic (SARS-COV-2), part of the species in question will be used to support units in our hospital that are directly involved in managing COVID-19 incidents.
