The project concerns the upgrading of the equipment of the Municipality of Neapolis-Sykes for the effective management of disasters caused by the occurrence of natural phenomena (earthquakes, fires, floods, frosts, etc.), in order to protect citizens’ lives and property against the dangers of disasters and reduce their impact. In particular, the project includes the procurement of 3 vehicles fully equipped with appropriate means to prevent and deal with natural disasters in the area of the Municipality and more broadly. The implementation of the project will result in the better organisation of the operation of the Municipality’s services, the savings of resources and the provision of better and more efficient services to the citizens. Apart from optimising the protection of residential areas, human and inanimate potential, the project will contribute to the timely intervention and minimisation of the cost of tackling and restoring the destruction, as these are new, modern and multi-purpose vehicles that act proactively and in time, are agile for immediate access to emergency points and is Euro6 technology, with low energy consumption.
