The Development Planning Directorate of the North Aegean Region (IPA) has been designated as a support mechanism for monitoring and evaluating the interventions of the smart specialisation strategy in the MDI, which will provide the critical information on the physical and financial implementation of RIS3's physical and financial implementation of RIS3's interventions towards the structures for the development of the strategy of coordination and management of the RIS3 strategy, which will provide the Regional Investigation and Investigation Mechanism, as the Regional Investigation and Support Mechanism, the RIS3's Operational Assistance, the PPE and the Regional Investigation Mechanism, the Regional Investigation and the Operational Assistance of the RIS, the Regional Investigation and the Operations of the RIS.
The project will be supported by the Special Management Service of the Operational Program of the North Aegean Region and by an external Technical Advisor.

The implementation of the action will contribute to the increase of the competitiveness of the region’s economy in connection with the research and productive bodies of the Region. The structure and operation of the Mechanism is governed by the Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) with a view to establishing itself as a mechanism for continuous development of RTD in the North Aegean.
