The project concerns the digital integration of the archaeological sites of Lemnos and in particular the creation of tourist and cultural routes. Based on the map of the island, the visitor of the platform will have the opportunity to obtain information about the history and evolution of the island, with the main axis being the ancient monuments of Lemnos from the Prehistoric period to the post-Byzantine period. The archaeological sites and monuments of the island will be presented digitally, in the form of text, image, video, virtual tour in selected places, as well as augmented presentation of the monuments through portable devices. Thus, the user will be able to create as complete a picture as possible for both the primary image of these monuments and their present form. The visitor of the digital platform will also be able to prepare a possible future visit to the monuments, since in addition to the data on the monuments themselves, he will be able to obtain visit information and information on other items of interest along the routes. The aim of the project is the digital promotion and promotion of the archaeological reserve of Lemnos with a set of innovative and combined actions for the qualitative and quantitative increase of tourism and the recovery of the maximum possible multiplier benefit, both for visitors and for the local economy.
