The object of the project is the creation of a digital cultural network of the Folklore Museums of Samos, which today do not have high visibility and traffic, in order to create a package of promotion of the island’s cultural reserve by digital means. Particularly important folklore museums located in mountainous and not only villages of Samos reflect, with the important collections they host, life on the island, but also in smaller communities, mountain or seaside. Apart from the genres of everyday life that are exhibited, the tools related to economic activity, such as viticulture but also arts such as textiles, pottery etc.These are excellent examples of the modern artistic production of Samos and the emergence of the cultural elements of life on the island. The project aims a) to promote, protect, education, learning and experiential approach to cultural heritage, b) to upgrade the services provided in relation to the culture and history of the region through the exploitation of electronic means of communication for the seamless and safe dissemination of cultural information and c) the promotion of the history and culture of the region, contributing to the creation of equal opportunities for access to cultural goods and the promotion of local identity.
