The object of the project is the construction of a new building unit for the operation of a Center for Day Care and Supported Living Centre (CDI) for people with Special Needs (NHRD) for Disabled Persons, in a stadium owned by the Special Rehabilitation Centre and Care for Persons with Special Needs (EMY/AME) and a fully qualified capacity, with a maximum capacity of 1. In particular, the ground floor of the building provides for the operation of 7 working rooms (painting, pottery, theatre, etc.), which will constitute the main areas of education, teaching and creative employment of the disabled, as well as complementary – auxiliary care – rehabilitation uses (physical therapy, speech therapy, etc.), in combination with resting – recreation and hygiene areas.The proposed DYD has a surface of 197,93 m² and has 4 bedrooms, with the possibility of hosting maximum number. The implementation of the project completes the Structures of support for these individuals at all stages of their lives in the region of Aigialeia and provides them with lifelong support in terms of their social inclusion, professional rehabilitation, creative employment and housing, as described in the statute of establishment – operation of the EKAME/Aegiou Charity Association (1997), as amended and valid.
