The project forms part of the promoted reform in the field of Primary Health Care. The aim of the project is the development and pilot operation of up to 54 Local Health Groups (TOMY) in the Attica and South Aegean Regions, consisting of health professionals and other personnel, according to the provisions of article 106 of Law 4461/2017, and the assumption of responsibility by each Department providing holistic, human-centred and high quality health services, free of charge and without discrimination.With the overall intervention, the new structure of the Primary Health Care Services is introduced for the first time. The TOMY is the basic unit for providing Primary Health Care services (prevention, promotion and health education, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation) to individuals, families and the community and is the core of the National Health System (NHS). At the same time, needs for horizontal actions are covered: The project is entitled to the NSRF Executive Structure of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health and Maintenance and the relevant Health Regions. For this reason, the project is implemented through 2 distinct sub-projects, one for each of the regions mentioned above. The project has a duration of 32.26 months and a total budget of EUR 15,148,070,39 (with public expenditure eligible for public expenditure EUR 7.831.068,79).
