The project concerns the regeneration and expansion of the pedestrian network in the area of tobacco worker Square and is an important project to upgrade the city centre of Kavala. The project foresees: 1) pedestrian roads of Kassandros (from Ethnarchou Makarios, the tobacco warehouse and up to Averof Street), Averoff (from Omonoia to the Tobacco warehouse and to Eleftherios Venizelos) and Anonymos in front of the Municipal Tobacco Warehouse. 2) one-way route of Ethnarchou Makarios road and one-way of Daglis Street, heading from Omonoia Street to K. Palaiologos Street. 3) Design and construction of water and bedbeds of different plantings. 4) Design and construction of ‘smart’ interventions and construction of urban equipment along pedestrian and sidewalks. 5) Regeneration of intermediate routes. The work to be carried out concerns, inter alia, excavations and landfills, foundations of elements, construction of visible concrete and/or lawn, various water elements, lighting, electromechanical installations, flooring with materials including permeable concrete, marble, composite wood, blind roads, expansion joints, etc. Plantings concern various sizes and species of plants.
