Basilica B is located within the archaeological site of Philippi, which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It has been built to the south of the forum that was formed in the 2nd century AD, on the ruins of foundations of Roman buildings and belongs to the typology of the royal large size, with a dome. It is considered one of the most important architectural monuments of Greece. In the context of the implementation of this project this exceptional monument will be fixed by completing parts of the anodrome, in order to eliminate the deterioration factors of the monument and on the other hand to be able to understand its uniqueness, aesthetics and architectural importance.
