The project concerns the preparation of the Local Spatial Plan (HFSF) of the Municipality of Kavala, consisting of the Municipal Units of Kavala and Philippi. The provisions of the HFSF define the extensions of residential receptors, as well as their equipment with communal and utilitarian spaces, define their development model and upgrade the aesthetic image of the built environment. The HFSF is a complete guide to the phases and elements of the sustainable spatial development of the whole area of the Municipality, as long as it includes a full Implementation Program, with proposed actions, projects, institutional arrangements and any more specific studies required for the implementation of its proposals, with prioritised implementation, and proposals for corresponding sources of funding, being a useful tool for the drafting of the technical programmes of the Municipality. It is also a guide for any action or project of development, environmental etc. in the area within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Kavala, since any localisation of activity in this area must necessarily be provided in the approved Local Spatial Plan of the Municipality, while land use planning is necessary for the environmental authorisation of both public and private investments.
