The project concerns the creation and operation for 3 years of the Community of Lemnos Centre in accordance with the current institutional framework, the National Social Integration Strategy (NSRF), the Regional Social Integration Strategy (PESKE) and the Regional Strategy for the Social Integration of Roma of the Region of North Aegean.The Municipality of Limnos creates the Community Centre in order to develop a local point of reference for the reception, service and interconnection of citizens with all social programs and services implemented in the region. The proposed “Centre of the Municipal Community of Lemnos” is expanded and will include an Annex for the provision of services to Roma enclaves/population.The responsibilities of the Community Centre comprise the following:A. Reception – Update – Support for citizensB. Cooperation with Services and StructuresC. Provision of services aimed at improving the standard of living and ensuring the social integration of the beneficiaries. The Roma population Annex is linked to Municipality, Region or even state/central services that contribute to social protection, social inclusion and promotion to the employment of the beneficiaries. The Annex is active in providing services through a personalised and long-term approach to the beneficiaries, initially mapping the necessary steps for their progress towards social inclusion and employment and then supporting and monitoring this process. It also supports the Roma beneficiaries of the camp/shelter in which the Annex is located.
