The object of the project is the labelling and promotion of a network of thematic routes within the approved area of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (SBAA) of the Municipality of Chania, through appropriate actions of physical, digital and printed form, aiming at promoting and enhancing the traffic of significant points of interest. Specifically, the creation of a network of thematic routes aims:- To highlight the numerous remarkable historical, cultural and natural monuments of landmarks within the urban fabric of the city of Chania.- To facilitate the tour of visitors within the city in destinations with coherence, easily accessible and recognizable.- To project the local history and culture to the residents and especially to young people.- Create a new tourist product for the visitor, with the help of which will organise the time and location of the city. Monuments of History, Route F: Fortifications, Route C: Culture and Events Areas, Route A: Except Walls, Route S: Coastline) and will include 115 points of interest.The objectives of the project will be achieved by:(a) The editing, design, construction and installation of information signs on all points of interest of the network of thematic routes.b) The development of an online information system, an application for mobile devices (App) and the installation of an indoor touch screen for the promotion of the portal that will be developed. c) The editing, design and printing of printed material (app)
