This project is located in the Municipality of Agios Dimitrios, Attica, within the urban fabric. The area of the intervention area includes pedestrian and pedestrian plantations. Residences are also found within the area. The area is adjacent to the Pikrodafni stream, which is a landmark and is to be rebuilt in the framework of a study already under way. Due to this proximity the intervention area is also offered for use as a recreation area covering both aesthetic purposes and for the improvement of the environmental conditions and the integration of the project implementation area with the wider landscape through planting.The environmental and social importance of the wider area of the Misenios Municipality of Agios Dimitrios and the perimeter of the roads can be fully evaluated, only if it is treated in the context of a more comprehensive grid of the city, with the emphasis of the public public space, as well as in the context of the surrounding area. The importance of the Municipality of Agios Dimitrios, in the context of the metropolitan area of the capital, is linked to at least two remarks: The first point concerns the inter-local interest of the Municipality, linking it to the trans-local transport axis of Vouliagmeni Avenue, as well as with the commercial zone, also of superlocal value developed around the station “Agios Dimitrios” of Atticus metro. The second point is based on the environmental interest of the Municipality. This interest concerns not only its “internal” area, i.e. its immediate municipal area, but can also be associated with the effort of environmental and local upgrading of a much wider part of the urban area of the capital.
