The project aims to strengthen the Fire Brigade of the Region of Central Greece with new modern equipment (aquifers/special fire trucks, appliances and tools). These are equipment suitable for the prevention and repression of forest and other fires, as well as to deal with earthquakes and take action to assist and rescue incidents of natural and technological disasters throughout the region. The significant qualitative and quantitative upgrading of the existing fire-rescue equipment will decisively support the intended improvement of the provided services of the Fire Corps within the Region. In any case, the improvement of the effectiveness of fire rescue operations and the strengthening of measures to reduce and/or prevent major natural and technological disasters depends on the adequacy of appropriate, modern and reliable means of intervention that are operationally available for the needs of each specific region.
