The implementation of the Digital Thematic Park (PTHP) for the promotion of the history of the wider region of PDE, emphasises the events of the Revolution of 1821 but not limited to them, and draws the basic principles from modern museological theory and practice. The main purpose is the promotion, interpretation and promotion of exhibits and the presentation in a modern, attractive and primarily explanatory way of the various aspects of the themes being investigated. Through the project, the aim is to achieve the educational and recreational role of PTHP and as a consequence of the modern social role that this aspires to perform, as a reference point in the lives of citizens through the 3 actions that implement the digital park.The aim of Action 1 is to create a space of contemporary aesthetics that will attract the visitor, while through the repeated typology of exhibition constructions the narration becomes coherent. The visitor’s experience shall be completed with the use of interactive, audiovisual and tactile means, combined with the allusive representational organisation of the other content, supporting the educational and recreational nature of the PTHP in terms of deepening, experiential and playful interaction.This framework includes the full creation of the site of the digital thematic park, including the supply of converted container, audiovisual and interactive equipment. The collection, digitisation and management of the content to be displayed will refer to points of cultural, natural and historical interest of the three regional units of the Region of Western Greece. Points and information will be organised into categories. For each selected point, relevant texts, high-resolution photographs, access information, mapping etc. will be created to highlight the point, according to the thematic section to which it belongs, while the links of the point to other thematic sections and other points will be highlighted. The content will be available in two languages, Greek and English. Sources of collection and documentation of the content will be libraries, organisations, archives, museums, archaeology, as well as primary collection. Development of software and applications and in particular:- development of a portal for the promotion of content and services for all, – development of a dedicated version of the web platform for displaying the content and providing access to services from specialised information stations on fixed and portable devices (tablets, mobile, etc.), development of mobile application (available for iOS and Android). The documentary will be based on the rich recording of all other actions and especially on the developed content of Action 02 “ICT for the promotion of the natural and cultural reserve of PDE”, which concerns 2.000 2.500 points of cultural, natural and historical interest of the PDE.
