In the overall context of the strategic planning of support and social integration of vulnerable groups and especially those below the poverty line, the Municipality of Igoumenitsa will continue to operate the existing Basic Goods Supply Structure, i.e. the Social Grocery and the Social Pharmacy of Municipality of Igoumenitsa. Specifically, the structures are addressed to that part of the local population that cannot meet its needs in basic goods of food, clothing, etc. Particularly high is the problem in our area for families with minor children. In this context, they will continue to operate: A. Social Grocery, where you will distribute on a fixed and regular basis food, groceries, fruit and vegetables, personal hygiene, clothing, footwear, books, toys, etc. to at least 160 beneficiaries of the structure.B. Social Pharmacy: It concerns the provision on a regular or exceptional basis of free medicines, health supplies and parapharmaceuticals to at least 100 beneficiaries who need them and cannot meet this need. The project includes the operating costs of the structures up to 30 % of the staff’s payroll.Finally, an electronic and physical record will be kept for the beneficiaries who will have access to the Single Information System as well as on all issues related to the operation of the basic goods supply structures: Social Grocery and Social Pharmacy of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa.
