The project includes the creation of a Structure – Community Centre – in the Municipality of Lamion which serves all residents of the municipality, with priority to vulnerable groups, aiming at disseminating information about services and social benefits to all citizens. In addition to disseminating information, the GOC also provide social inclusion services. They are structures that function complementary, and do not replace or replace the Social Services of Municipalities, but broaden the range of social services provided to the citizens-benefits. The Community Centres receive and register the beneficiaries, with the aim of diagnosing their needs and promoting them in Services, Structures and Programs that exist at the current time and have as their object the social support empowerment and integration (OEAED, NSRF, KPD, Home Help, Mental Health Centres, etc.). The Community Centres are structures which provide holistic support to the residents of the municipalities concerned through the provision of a comprehensive network of services aimed at combating poverty, social exclusion and all forms of discrimination and promoting employment. The philosophy of the operation of the Community Centres is based on: In the individualised approach, initially mapping the necessary steps for the progress of the beneficiary towards social inclusion and/or employment, and then supporting and monitoring this process in connecting with municipal, local and trans-local (e.g. central) Services that contribute to social protection, social inclusion and the promotion of the employment of beneficiaries in the development of cooperation procedures with each competent body and Office in the creation of networks (and in general, networking) between the Community Centre and bodies implementing the relevant actions. The operation of these Annexes shall include the following Axis: 1. Information, Service, Consultative Support on Migrant Integration Issues and Networking 2. Cooperation and referral of requests to other relevant structures, services and bodies (Immigrant Integration Councils, Association of Migrants/Experts of International Protection, NGO, Social Services 3. Courses and parallel actions will also be carried out within the framework of the CEMs.The CEM Annex and thus the Community Centre develops actions relating to: Individualised approach of migrants and beneficiaries of international protection Connection of the Municipality, the Region or even state/central services (when necessary) that contribute to the social inclusion, strengthening and promotion of the employment of target groups Achieving synergy and complementarity of relevant actions and services with actions implemented by civil society or in relation to other financial instruments of the EU.Creation of networks with bodies implementing actions in the field of integration of migrants and beneficiaries of international protection, which are specifically related to the provision of social protection, or in relation to the social area of the EU. The 2nd Subproject-Other Actions KEM will expand the range of services provided with emphasis on Greek language courses and elements of Greek history and Greek culture to adult migrants and beneficiaries of international protection, intercultural actions with emphasis on the coexistence of children and young foreigners and natives and actions to promote the access of migrants and beneficiaries of international protection to the labour market. At the same time, the Community Centre receives applications for TEVA, the UEN and humanitarian aid.
