After a preliminary initiative made in previous years to characterise the occurrence of urticating gelatinous organisms (livewaters and caravels-Portuguese) in the Azores, we are now in a position to present a broader proposal that allows to study regularly, complementing classic methodologies with other more innovative ones, the occurrence of these and other gelatinous invertebrates in the coastal areas of the Azores.
