The teleassistance system for victims of domestic violence arose from the need to ensure protection and safety for victims and to reduce their risk of revitalisation. Law No. 112/2009 of 16 September, as amended by Law No. 129/2015 of September 3, provides for the use of this system which ensures the victim of domestic violence protection and psychosocial support, 24 H/day, for a period of up to 6 months (extendable).
