The Modernisation of the Queen’s Meleças-Caldas section will include the electrification, the construction of two double-track sections, the punctual renewal of the existing track, the suppression, reclassification and automation of level crossings, the one-off intervention of buildings and passenger platforms in stations and subways, the simplification of the layout of existing stations and the implementation of rail signalling and telecommunications systems.
