The project consists of the valorisation and rehabilitation of the banks of the river Tâmega in the city of Amarante about 11 km between the mouth of the Olo River and the new treatment plant with clearing and stabilisation at the level of the first flood bed and promotion of the riverine autochthonous gallery in order to improve the conditions of flow and the minimisation of the risk of floods for people and possessions compatible with the existing human uses and occupation at the same time.
